I completed a painting commission this past week...it was a challenge to paint...white church from photographs that I didn't take. Plus to add to the challenge this building meant a lot to the family. I could only work from the photos ( not my favorite thing). I did this as a learning process as well as a labor of love...and it worked out. I learned a lot about editing, abstracting, and had fun in the process. The joy was that the buyer liked the end result. I only charged for the final work. If the buyer hadn't liked the painting then I still had learned from the experience.
