New Painting

This is a large oil painting I finished a couple of weeks ago. I worked from a small plein air painting as well as digitals. Painting this way helps me to abstract as well as recover the colors I saw from life. When the weather is cold outdoors this is a great exercise!
You can see this painting at Breckenridge Gallery, Breckenridge, CO. as well as on my website.
It was painted from my plein air painting of the Dredge Park, Tiger Rd., Breckenridge, CO.

SOLD!

Painting Landscapes

Why do I paint landscapes? I paint them because I love being a part of nature while painting. It can be a zen-like experience once you get past the technical part of the painting. I feel that today we spend so much of our time in cars, in front of the TV, and computer, that many do not get to experience the health that can come from being outside. I hope that my paintings inspire viewers to want to get out there and see and feel what I felt while painting.
